Chief Election Commissioner S Y Quraishi and the other Election Commissioners V S Sampath and H S Brahma sought an explanation from the TMC on two cash transactions to the tune of more than Rs.1.33 crore through two city-based public sector bank branches.
Meanwhile, CPM leader Goutam Deb has been asked to explain as to why he gave interviews to vernacular TV channels on Wednesday even as polling was on in Kolkata and two districts.
