Family feud stalls installing of NTR statue

The family of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), which is prone to in-fighting, is blocking a rare recognition of his contribution to the nation.

Two years since sanctioning of putting up a statue for the late leader at the Parliament house, the president of NTR-founded Telugu Desam Party and his son-in-law Nara Chandrababu Naidu and NTR”s daughter D Purandareswari are blaming each other for the delay in completion of the project.

Naidu, did not include his daughter and Union minister Purandareswari and second wife Laxmi Parvathi, who are now members of Congress and YSR Congress respectively in the list of NTR kin.
