MHA clears GST Network

The Ministry of Home Affairs has finally given clearance to the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN), which is the IT backbone of the tax regime.

The ministry clearance for GSTN, which is a not-for-profit private limited company, was delayed as the security establishment wanted to be thorough about the system.

After examining the threat perception to national security, a senior ministry official said, “The clearance has been granted.”
