Railway Ministry will introduce more transparency in ticketing system and it should be tamper proof.

The Centre for Railways Information System (CRIS) will develop a system where railway travellers can see vacant seats on the line of airlines, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal told reporters in New Delhi.

A foolproof system will be developed so that no body should suspect any thing on ticket booking method, he said.

The minister also said that Railways plans to commission more than 7,000 km of route electrification, up from 4,000 km last year.

The high speed train, Train 18, will run from Delhi to Varanasi said the minister.

He said that the run-time would be eight hours, about "one-and-a-half-times" faster than the fastest train on the route.

"We have successfully tested the train and the suggestions are being incorporated. Very soon the train will be dedicated to the nation and we have requested that Prime Minister Narendra Modi flag it off. This train will run between Delhi and Varanasi in eight hours, the minister said.

"This train has amenities of international standards, is Wi-Fi enabled, CCTV cameras and it has no locomotive or engine. It is a trainset. It will cover the 750-km route at a maximum speed of 160 kmph," said Goyal, who inspected the rake at the New Delhi railway station.
