<p>A CISF Sub Inspector was choked to death when he went for rescue work in a multi-storeyed government building in the national capital which caught fire on Wednesday morning.</p>.<p>The blaze was reported from the fifth floor of the Deen Dayal Antyodaya Bhawan in the CGO Complex at around 8:40 AM and a CISF Quick Reaction Team rushed to the spot to take control of the situation.</p>.<p>Sub Inspector M P Godana, who was the shift in-charge of the QRT near CGO, along with CISF personnel had rushed to the spot for rescue work.</p>.<p>During rescue work, the CISF said, Godana fell unconscious due to dense smoke. He was immediately taken to AIIMS for treatment where he breathed his last.</p>.<p>Eighteen fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire, which was brought under control at 10:50 am. The fire had broken out in the office of the Ministry of Social Justice and Development.</p>.<p>Godana, a former Air Force personnel who joined CISF in 2008, hailed from Churu in Rajasthan and is survived his wife and two sons.</p>.<p>Delhi Fire Service said that short circuit is suspected to be the reason for the fire. "Exact reason of fire would be known after investigation," it said.</p>
