C'garh govt has implemented Gandhi's 'Ram Rajya: Shah

The Bharatiya Janta Party national president Amit Shah before releasing the party's manifesto for upcoming Assembly election on Saturday said that under the "BJP rule Chhattisgarh has become a welfare state".

While addressing media here Shah said that Raman Singh government has implemented Gandhiji's vision of 'Ram Rajya' in the state.

Shah said that the biggest achievement of the government was to bring Naxalism under control. Shah also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving financial assistance to the state. "PM Modi has provided District Mineral Fund (DMF) of Rs 3000 crores and has also increased the 14th Finance Commission package to Rs 137000 crore from Rs 48000 crore," he said.

The party's national president said that the state government has given priority to Antyodaya Yojana and provided free rice, salt, slippers, bicycles etc to the needy. "There has been a considerable increase in agriculture production under Raman Singh government in the state, " he added.

Heavy security cover 

As per directive of Election Commission of India, heavy security cover has been provided to Maoist affected areas for smooth conduct of polls. For the transportation of the polling team to and fro from the sensitive polling centres, the arrangement of the helicopter has also been made.

As per the poll timings released by Chhattisgarh Chief Electoral Officer, the polling in Khairagarh, Dongargarh (SC), Rajnandgaon, Dongargaon, Khujji, Bastar (ST), Jagdalpur and Chitrakot (ST) Assembly constituencies will be held from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm.

The poll timings for Mohala-Manpur (ST), Antagar (ST), Bhanupratappur (ST), Kanker (ST), Keshkal (ST), Kondagaon (ST), Narayanpur (ST), Dantewada (ST), Bijapur (ST) and Konta (ST) Assembly constituencies is from 7.00 am to 3.00 pm.
