Three cases of suspected sunstroke deaths were reported from various parts of Kerala on Sunday.

The Kerala State Disaster Management Authority sounded an alert over sun stroke till March 26 as the Weather department forecast two to three degrees increase in temperature in 11 of the 14 districts in the state.

The three cases were reported from Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta and Kannur districts.

Signs of burns on the skin led to the preliminary suspicion of sunstroke. Health authorities said that the exact cause of the death could be confirmed only after a post-mortem.
