Thane civic chief's wife,daughter treated for dengue

Thane civic chief's wife and daughter are admitted to a private hospital, where they are being treated reportedly for a case of suspected dengue.

This coupled with several other suspected dengue cases has triggered fear of an outbreak of vector-borne diseases in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

Thane city's Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Jaiswal's wife Siddhi (45) and daughter Sneha (17) were admitted to the Jupiter Hospital in Thane.

Both of them stay in Bandra, Mumbai, and it is suspected that they might have contracted the disease from there.
