We will win polls despite Dadri lynchingi: Shah

Last Updated 11 September 2018, 18:51 IST

Exuding confidence of a BJP victory in Jaipur, party president Amit Shah said incidents like the Mohammed Akhlaq lynching and award wapsi will not stop the saffron party from winning both Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Shah while speaking to party workers said that state polls in three states will be a "trailer" for the 2019 Lok Sabha election.

Targeting the Congress, Shah said, "Whenever there are elections, the subject of Akhlaq and award wapsi is brought up by the Congress. But we know that we have done nothing that we should bow our head".

"We have announced Vasundhara Raje as the chief ministerial candidate again in Rajasthan. This is a crucial election as the results from the three major states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh will set the trend for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections," he added.

In his address to BJP workers at the Shakti Kendra Sammelan, Shah said, "The BJP's victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections will ensure saffron party's rule for the next 50 years. But for that you need to bleed more sweat in the field to ensure victory".

This was Shah's third visit since July to the poll-bound state ruled by the party.

Shah was in Jaipur on July 21 and held meetings with party leaders and functionaries. On August 4, he was in Rajsamand to flag off Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's Rajasthan Gaurav yatra.
