Preparations in full swing for Anasuya Jayanti

The entire city has been decked up for Datta Jayanti celebrations to be held from December 20 to 22.

MG Road, IG Road, Ratnagiri Road, Azad Park Road, Hanumantappa Circle and Polytechnic Circle have been decorated with saffron buntings.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal activists took out a bike rally in Chikkamagaluru on Wednesday.

“On December 20, a Sankeerthana yatra will be taken out from Bolarameshwara temple at 9.30 am by women on the occasion of Anasuya Jayanti. The procession will pass through IG Road and Ratnagiri Road and will culminate at GACG polytechnic. The devotees will later visit Bababudangiri to have a glimpse of Datta Paduka,” said Vishwa Hindu Parishad secretary Yogish Urs.

The Dattatreya Shobhayatre will be held on December 22.

After the Shobhayatra, the devotees will have a glimpse of Datta Paduka at Datta Peetha, where Ganapathy Homa and Datta Homa will be done, followed by a meeting and distribution of prasadam.
