We have been hearing the rumours of Apple AirTags for more than a year now and the last time, we heard about it was in October 2020 that it may come in the following month with the new M1 silicon powered MacBooks, but only the latter made their debut.

Now, a new report has emerged AirTags are slated to finally see the light of the day very soon. Reliable tipster Jon Prosser has claimed Apple's proprietary tracking device will be launched next month and there won't be any more delays.

Apple AirTags was initially speculated to launch in March 2020, but due to the untimely Covid-19 outbreak and eventual global lockdown, it led to the stoppage of production and faced logistical issues.

For the uninitiated, Apple AirTags is similar to Bluetooth-based Tiles tracking device, which allows owners to find misplaced articles such as a vehicle or a house key in around a few meters range.

What's interesting about the Apple AirTags is that it will have longer coverage, it comes equipped with Ultrawideband sensors, it can cover several kilometers of range.

The user just needs to attach the AirTags to household items and are prone to get misplaced by family members.

For instance, if you lose the house key attached with AirTags in a coffee shop and driven back to your home and say it is 10 kilometers away; the AirTags will be continuously sending out signals and any iOS device nearby can detect and forward it to the Apple server. Then, the company will send a notification to the concerned owner's iPhone with the AirTags' accurate location.

Furthermore, the iPhones come with a powerful A-series chipset, and with AR support of the iOS, Apple will offer a 3D scanning feature to locate AirTags. This will particularly come in handy if the AirTags-connected object is under the sofa/bed or fallen into some crevice of furniture at the home or the office or a hotel.

It is widely rumoured that Apple also unveil a new line of Apple iPad Pro (2021) series with a 5nm class A14X Bionic processor in March along with AirTags.
