Apple AR Glass tipped to cost $3000, launch in 2022

For the past few years, there have been multiple reports of Cupertino-based tech major working on Apple Glass, a special gadget related to the emerging Augmented Reality (AR)/Mixed Reality(MR) gaming product category. But, there was very little information on when it will finally make its debut till now.

Well, there is good news for gaming patrons. The long-rumored Apple AR Glass is expected to finally see the light of the day in early 2021, The Information, reported citing the images of the prototype taken straight from Apple's vault.

It is said to be a late-stage test model set. One comes with a dozen of high-end cameras to track all minute hand and body movements and the headset code-named N301 comes with two 8K display forecasts content of the virtual world around in high-resolution 3D graphics, so the things and people physically resemble to closer to reality.

Also, it is said to feature advanced eye-tracking technology so that the headset will know what angle the eyes are viewing the scene and they fill the area with the extended scenes. It will be as real as viewing things through the spectacles but everything you see in front is all virtual.

The publication noted that Apple AR Glass is ergonomically designed, it is-- "sleek, has curved visor attached to the face by a mesh material and swappable headbands."

Going by the features, Apple has not left any stone unturned to make sure the upcoming AR Glass outclasses all the existing popular AR headsets be it Facebook's Oculus or Microsoft's HoloLens 2. However, it will be one expensive gadget, as the AR headgear is expected to cost $3,000 (approx. Rs 2,18, 693).
