Gadgets launched this week: Redmi Y3, Dell PCs and more

Top technology firms such as Dell, Netgear, Xiaomi and Garmin launched several new products globally and in India as well.

Xiaomi Redmi Y3:
Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Y3 last week in India, but it went on for sale for the first time in India on April 30. It is available in two variants — 3GB RAM + 32GB storage & 4GB RAM + 64GB storage — for Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,999, respectively.

6.26-inch HD+ (1520x720p) with 2.5D curved glass screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 shield

Redmi Y3 comes with P2i certification, meaning it can survive water splashes and also the rain

14nm class 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 octa-core with Adreno 506 GPU, 2GB/ 3GB RAM, 16GB/ 32GB storage and Android Pie-based MIUI 10

Dual-primary camera 12MP (with 1.12µm pixel size, F2.2 aperture) + 2MP depth sensor with PDAF (phase detection autofocus), AI scene detection, dual-LED flash and full HD 1080p video recording. On the front, it houses a 32MP selfie snapper with AI Portrait mode, AI beauty 4.0 and palm shutter.

Netgear Nighthawk routers with Wi-Fi 6 support

The company launched the Nighthawk AX4 and AX8 series Wi-Fi 6 routers in Bengaluru on April 30. They are touted to offer super-fast wireless internet speeds, which will greatly benefit users who play graphics-rich online games.

Comes with eight Wi-Fi spatial streams — four in the 2.4GHz band, and four in the 5GHz band — offer four times the device capacity as compared to typical 2x2 AC Wi-Fi.

Multi-Gig Internet enables customers to get more than one Gbps of the Internet through aggregation.

Garmin Vivosmart 4 series
Garmin originally unveiled the Vivosmart 4 series way back in August 2018 and now, it is finally available in India with prices starting at Rs 12,900.

Dell brings in new Latitude series laptops
American computer-maker Dell announced three 10th-gen Latitude laptop models in 7000, 5000 and 3000 series. All are available for purchase on Dell.com.

Dell Latitude 7000 series

In 13-and 14-inch form factors, the Latitude 7000 series is said to be the world’s smallest premium business-class notebooks

They come encased in durable new machined aluminum or carbon fiber materials and the laptops feature a variable- torque, drop-hinge design that enables easy, one-finger opening of the display

It features anti-glare, narrow-border display and is designed to minimize battery drain when in use and the innovative digital SafeScreen technology narrows the screen’s field of view for security while working in public.

Dell Latitude 7200 2-in-1 series

It sports a thinner, lighter design, brushed anodized aluminum premium finish and backlit keyboard.

It flaunts 12-inch display and comes with a detachable option, which will find takers among users who prioritize portability in tablet mode.

All the 7000 series laptops can be equipped with up to 32GB of memory and offer up to 20 hours of run time on select configurations —up to 25% more than the previous generation.

The Latitude 7000 also offers the first narrow border 4x4, CAT16, cellular antenna with dynamic antenna tuning in the PC industry, delivering gigabit LTE speed for faster downloads.

Price: Latitude 7x00 laptops price begins at $1,299, whereas as the Latitude 7200 2-in-1 starts at $999

The company also launched Latitude 5000 and 3000 series with prices starting at.$819 and $599, respectively. Besides the laptops, it also released Dell Dock (WD19) series, which costs $229.99 for 130W model and $279.99 for 180W version, whereas the Performance Dock (WD19DC) will set you back by $329.99. The Thunderbolt Dock (WD19TB) is priced $329.99.
