Madhav Bajaj (141, 7/69) produced an all-round performance as Raichur Zone earned three points after securing a draw against Bangalore Zone in a keenly fought contest in the under-14 KSCA inter-zonal cricket tournament here on Friday.
Batting first, Bangalore were bundled out for a paltry 162 runs in 78.5 overs, with Prithvi and Nitesh Gowda scoring 56 and 30 runs respectively. Madhav picked three wickets for Raichur.
In reply, Raichur Zone rode on Madhav’s ton (141) and Vijay Reddy’s (52) half century to score 320/8 in 90 overs, taking a lead of 158 runs in the process.
In their second essay, Bangalore made 124/7 in 45 overs, with Prajwal contributing 26 runs. Madhav with figures of 4/44 was wrecker-in chief again for Raichur Zone.
