India lost their third consecutive game at the Asia Cup basketball going down to Chinese Taipei 88-113 in a Group B preliminary round tie here on Sunday.

Despite showing a lot of energy on the court, the Indians lacked experience and expertise to a much higher-ranked Chinese Taipei.

However, Taipei coach Hsu Chin-Tse was far from impressed with their defence.

“I think defensively our unit is not moving they way we should. This has been a problem in both the games so far,” Hsu said on the FIBA Asia Cup website.

Vishesh Bhriguvanshi led India’s challenge with 22 points and dished out a dozen assists for the first double-double of this kind in the competition.

This third defeat in a row has left India with very little chance of making the quarterfinals.
“We are playing our hearts out and working hard. We are lacking the game-experience,” said Bhriguvanshi.
