18,000 take part in army recruitment rally

As many as 18,000 candidates took part in the week-long army recruitment rally which concluded on Sunday.

According to army officers in charge of the recruitment, candidates from seven districts of North Karnataka took part in the rally. The medical examination of more than 1,500 candidates had been completed.

 The endurance test and other tests will be conducted on June 11 and 12, the officers said. The recruitment will be based on the marks scored in the written test also.

The authorities said about 1,000 aspirants may be selected for the army.
