Busy with containing rebellion and discontent within, the Aam Aadmi Party is planning to restructure its political strategy and the organisation when the party’s executive committee meets here on June 6, 7 and 8.

Two apex decision-making bodies of the party, the Executive Committee and the Political Affairs Committee, are also likely to be expanded.

The Executive Committee meeting will formally review the poll results and analyse the reasons for not doing well in states where the AAP was expecting  better results.

It will also finalise the political strategy and agenda for the immediate future and identify focus areas.
According to party sources, the expansion of the Political Affairs Committee has almost been fina

The Executive Committee is also likely to have 3 or 4 more members. It may include representatives from states which are not represented so far.

However, the party’s main worry seems to be keeping its house in order. After the exit of spokesperson and executive committee member Shazia Ilmi, the party is also facing the threat of losing its one of its stalwarts - Yogendra Yadav.

Yadav and Executive Committee member Naveen Jaihind have resigned and given the leadership the choice of choosing one of them.

Another leader, Kumar Vishwas, is also said to be signalling that he desires to leave the party.
