Poojara joined the party in the presence of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and party State President D V Sadananda Gowda in Bangalore on Monday. As the news reached Bagalkot, Charantimutt sent his resignation letter to Speaker Jagadish Shettar.
In his resignation, Charantimutt said: “Poojara had worked against me and the party during the last Assembly elections in Bagalkot. I understand that he has been admitted into the party. Hence, I tender my resignation. Kindly accept the same.” Charantimutt confirmed to Deccan Herald that he has put in his papers.
