Belgaum MLA falls from building; condition stable

BJP MLA Duryodhan Mahalingappa Aihole was injured after he fell from the balcony of his residence today, but his condition is stable, police said.

Aihole has been admitted to the private KLE Hospital, police said. Dr Vinay Mhasile, who is treating Aihole, said the MLA sustained injuries in his rib-cage and is out of danger. His condition is stable, he said.

After visiting the hospital, Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar said the MLA was out of danger. To a query, Shettar said his government is stable and will complete its term.
