CM urges JK Tyres to acquire Falcon Tyres

Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy appealed to the management of JK Tyre and Industries to acquire Falcon Tyres, which has closed down. He sought the consideration in the interest of the employees in Mysuru on Tuesday.

After inaugurating Raghupati Singhania Centre of Excellence, the research and development wing of JK Tyres, the chief minister said, JK Tyres, which is operating in Karnataka since 21 years, has made the state proud by establishing the R and D facility here.

“When Mysuru-based Vikrant Tyres was under loss, JK Tyres acquired the plant and has been managing it successfully. Now, if JK Tyres acquires Falcon, hundreds of employees would be saved. If JK Tyres acquire and revive Falcon, the government will extend all support,” he said.
