Ahead of the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) elections, the two national parties - BJP and Congress - have suspended some party workers for 'anti-party activities'.

While Congress suspended nine members, BJP terminated the primary membership of seven party members on Tuesday.

The Congress, among others, suspended K V Sridhar, Dinesh Kumar, Purushottam, N Sunil Kumar, Indira, former deputy mayor B Siddaraju, district unit vice president Shangaveerendra Swamy.

Similarly, BJP suspended Snake Shyam, M V Ramprasad, Balachandra Shastry, Uma Suresh, Geeta Nagaraj and others.
