Cong-JD(S) seat-sharing talks after Feb 10

Last Updated 11 March 2019, 11:07 IST

All India Congress Committee general secretary in charge of Karnataka K C Venugopal has said that Congress and JD(S) leaders will discuss seat-sharing for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, after February 10.

Speaking to mediapersons in Mangaluru on Sunday, Venugopal said there were no factions in the Congress. “We are like one family under the leadership of AICC president Rahul Gandhi.

All rumours on factions in the Congress are baseless. We have full confidence in Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and the JD(S)-Congress government will complete full term. The rumours on lack of
coordiation in the government started on the day coalition government came into existence in Karnataka,” he said.

Venugopal alleged that the BJP was trying lure Congress MLAs with money.

“The BJP is desperate without power. On the one hand, they speak about morality in politics in Delhi and on the other they are engaged in cheap politics to come to power in Karnataka,” he said.
