Congress manifes to be ready by Feb-March

The Congress’ manifesto for the 2019 General Elections will be ready by February or March next year, AICC research department chairperson M V Rajeev Gowda said here on Saturday.

The party has set up a manifesto committee under former Union minister P Chidambaram with Gowda as its convener.

“We have identified 21 themes based on which we will reach out to citizens and experts through an outreach campaign called Jana Dhwani to make it a people’s manifesto,” Gowda, a Rajya Sabha member, told reporters.

About 44 meetings have been held all over the country so far to collect suggestions for the manifesto, Gowda said. “We also have a website - manifesto.inc.in - through which citizens can send us ideas,” he added.
