<p>Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has said that the Debt Relief Act would come into force in around 15 days.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Speaking during his campaign for JD(S) bypoll candidate L R Shivaramegowda in the taluk on Friday, the chief minister said that he was committed to rid farmers of all kinds of debts.</p>.<p class="bodytext">During canvassing in Maddur, the chief minister said that instead of putting pressure on the Centre for waiving farm loans extended by nationalised banks, the BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa was just shedding crocodile tears.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“The BJP leaders are misleading the people, saying that the coalition government has not taken off. They commented that the government’s budget was not for the state, but it was a Mandya budget. Now, they want the people of Mandya to support their party,” he said.</p>
