'Deve Gowda should be in Delhi durbar'

“Deve Gowda’s sons are there to give attention to the State’s politics. It is not clear why Gowda is in the State’s politics, joining hands with Bangarappa,” he said. He was speaking to mediapersons at Hubli airport on Saturday, on his way to Bijapur to campaign for the BJP candidates in the Zilla and Taluk Panchayat elections.

The CBI is investigating into the Rs 60,000-crore Commonwealth Games scandal and the Rs 1.76 lakh-crore 2G spectrum scam at the Centre. “People expect Gowda to be in Delhi to raise his voice against such scandals, which have brought disrepute to the nation,” he noted.

BJP is receiving overwhelming response during electioneering for the Zilla and Taluk Panchayat elections, and the party would win more seats than expected, he said. More number of women would support the BJP, Yeddyurappa added.
