JOIN USZilla Panchayat CEO and Disciplinary Authority have suspended Arji Gram Panchayat Development Officer C K Rajendra on the charges of remaining absent to work and dereliction of duty.
Rajendra had remained absent to work on March 14, 16 and 19 without informing the concerned officers during the election. As he had failed to implement the housing schemes, MGNREGS and other welfare schemes effectively, a notice was served to him. However, he failed to correct himself.
According to e-attendance, he worked only for nine days in the month of June. Alleging dereliction of duty, absence of the PDO and failing to implement the welfare schemes, seven Gram Panchayat members on July 7 had walked out of the meeting and had even submitted a complaint to the deputy commissioner.
The members had alleged that the PDO had not conducted the Gram Panchayat meeting for the last four months.
