Kalamma (100), mother-in-law of former prime minister H D Deve Gowda, passed away due to age-related illness, on Thursday. She leaves behind four daughters and four sons.
Channamma, wife of Deve Gowda, is Kalamma's first daughter. The last rites were performed at Muthige Hiriyalli, in Hassan taluk. Deve Gowda, JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy and MLA H D Revanna were present.
