Just to make somebody a chief minister, one of my associates levelled false allegations against me, de-throwned me and dropped boulder on their own heads, said former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa.

Speaking at a religious meeting held as a part of praveshotsava of Channakeshava and Ranganathaswamy temple, at Hadikere in Tarikere taluk, on Sunday, he said “I will teach a lesson to all those who had levelled allegations against me in the forthcoming Assembly election. I will travel across the State to create a welfare state. The BJP leaders did not like me, as I was able to get crores of funds,” he said.

“I had carried out administration on the basis of social justice. I had started Folklore University at Haveri and Gangubail Hanagal Music University, during my tenure as the CM,” he said.

High power committee

Stating that a high power committee formed in the KJP, Yeddyurappa said that the committee will frame people-friendly manifesto of the party for the election.
The KJP will not enter into alliance with any of the political parties in the State and will contest from all the 224 seats, all alone.

“If the BJP initiates action against those supporters who will take part in KJP’s Haveri convention, then the State government will collapse. I want the government to complete its term. However, the BJP state president K S Eshwarappa does not want to complete the term. He should stop issuing statements and should face the election by dissolving the Assembly.”

The KJP convention will be attended by leaders from various political parties. At the same time, the youth are showing keen interest in joining the KJP. About four lakh workers will take part in the convention. “I do not have greed for power. I do not wish to become Chief Minister once again. I want to build a welfare State.”
