NSG takes stock of security at Mysore Palace

The team led by Major Sumit Negi from NSG headquarter at Hyderabad, arrived here on Tuesday. They studied the security measures in place at the palace for hours, recording every minute detail. On Wednesday too they inspected the mechanism both inside and outside the palace.

Sources told Deccan Herald, the Hyderabad headquarter is formed of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Chattisgarh. The premier security agency of the state is studying the security arrangements at all the places of tourist interest in the three States.

They are expected to submit a report to the headquarter. However, it is not known whether they visited palace only or other places of tourist interests too in city.

The team consisted of Soocha Singh, Kishore Tapa, Nagappa Lende among others in the ranks of inspectors, hawaldars and commandos too. It was also a scheduled visit as the office of deputy director, Palace Board had received a fax 10 days ago, intimating about NSG inspection.
