<p>Congress leader D K Shivakumar, who is considered a troubleshooter in party circles, on Tuesday swung into action to prevent poaching of MLAs by the rival camp.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Soon after the Congress high command decided to keep the BJP away from power by supporting the JD(S), Shivakumar ensured that two independent MLAs – Shankar (Ranebennur) and H Nagesh (Mulabagilu) – are brought to Bengaluru.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He held talks with the MLAs and obtained a written letter from them, declaring their support to Janata Dal-Secular-Congress alliance.</p>
