Govt clears Toyota project in Tumakuru

The State High-level Clearance Committee (SHLCC) headed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday cleared two projects worth Rs 558 crore including a proposal by Toyota Industries India to set up a textile and spinning machinery manufacturing unit in Tumakuru.

The meeting cleared the Toyota plant at Vasanathanarasapura industrial area in Tumakuru. The project has the potential to create job opportunities to 800 people.

The committee also gave its nod for Eco Mister Bits India Pvt Limited to set up a slag ball manufacturing unit at Toranagal in Ballari district at a cost of Rs 148 crore. The project has a potential to create 132 jobs, an press release from the chief minister’s secretariat stated.
