He said under Niramala Nagara yojane, use of plastic has been banned for the last three years. However, no one tried to implement the rule. Now the use and sale of plastic bags, glass, plates have been banned and the decision will be implemented effectively without fail.
Such measures have been taken to control environment pollution. Merchants should possess trade license for 2009-10.
They should not discard wastes in improper way. Instead, the wastes should be disposed properly. All the domestic animals which are found on the road will be sent to cattle pound, he warned.
