A skipper’s knock by N J Gowtham (136, 14X4s), helped defending champion Jayanagar CC to register a big 121-run win over Saraswathipuram SC in the KSCA Mysore Zone first division league tie played at Gangothri Glades grounds here on Saturday.

At Mandya, National CC had to satisfy for a draw with JaiHind CC, despite a century by Deepak of Mandya National CC.

In the second division match held at Mandya, Navodaya CC too had to satisfy for a draw against Young Cricketers.  Navodaya CC has scored a swift  331 runs in 37.5 overs, due to a century by H S Mahesh.


First division: Jayanagar CC 302 for six in 41 overs (N J Gowtham 136, S Rajath 88, Vinod Gowda two for 71, Harshavardhan Gowda two for 48) bt Saraswathipuram SC 181 in 55.3 overs (A V Sandeep 68, Suhas 35, Sanketh Shetty five for 46, N J Gowtham two for 51, Nitish Manju two for 12).

FUCC 204 in 50.1 overs (Md Imran Khan 131, Hemanth Kumar three for 67, Sharath Babu three for 20) bt The Mysore Gymkhana 138 in 39.3 overs (Prasanth Shanbal 28, Manjunath four for 44, Yogesh two for 14).

National CC 242 for seven in 55 overs (Deepak S Gowda 100, C G Jagadeesh Kumar  30, Kishan S Bedare 27, Harikrishna Kumar 25, Balaram two for 40) drew with Jaihind CC ‘A’ 222 for eight in 40 overs (Kiran 30, Yeshwanth 35, Manjunath Bharve 28, Siddarth Koul 29, Harikrishna Kumar four for 63, C G Jagadeesh Kumar three for 50).
