Congress on Saturday night picked up turncoat Subhash Rathod as its nominee for the bypoll to the Chincholi Assembly seat.
Kusumavathi Shivalli, the widow of Congress lawmaker C S Shivalli, will be in the fray for the Kundgol Assembly seat.
AICC general secretary Mukul Wasnik announced the candidates for the Karnataka bypolls on Saturday.
Rathod, who quit the BJP to join the Congress, will be in the fray from Chincholi-SC Assembly seat which fell vacant after the resignation of Umesh Jadhav.
Jadhav, who quit the Congress to join the BJP, is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Gulbarga against Mallikarjun Kharge.
