Home Minister M B Patil said that Kampli MLA J N Ganesh, who is booked under IPC Section 307, is in Goa and the police will soon arrest him.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday the minister said that the police are searching for Ganesh, who is accused of assaulting his party member MLA Anand Singh recently.
“The police tried to arrest him in Mumbai, but he managed to escape. As per the information, Ganesh is in Goa now and the police will soon arrest him. I am in touch with the investigation officer,” Patil added.
The Kampli MLA has been booked on the charge of assulting Vijayanagara MLA Anand Singh during a drunken brawl at Eagleton resort.
