“I have completed my training period during my five-year tenure as the MP of Kodagu-Mysuru constituency. I will be contesting for the second term to serve the people better,” said MP Pratap Simha.

He was speaking during his rural campaigns in Peraje, Chembu, Sampaje, Madenadu, Bettageri, Cherambane and Bhagamandala villages on Monday.

Even a common worker can win with the BJP ticket, he said.

“I could not visit Kodagu often as I had involved myself in strengthening the party in Mysuru, as per the direction of the leaders,” he added.

Stating that he has got a good experience in politics while serving as the MP, Pratap Simha said that Kodagu is the stronghold of BJP since 1991, even when Kodagu was part of Mangalore constituency.

BJP district committee president B B Bharateesh said that conspiracies are being carried out on an international level to cause obstructions to the progress of India. The people should thwart such efforts by electing Narendra Modi with a thumping majority for the second term.

BJP state secretary Appachattolanda Manu Muttappa, MLC Sunil Subramani, Zilla Panchayat president B A Harish, Madikeri Taluk Panchayat president Tekkade Shobha Mohan and BJP leader Shanteyanda Ravi Kushalappa were present.
