'Modi invited for Mysore Dasara'

Speaking to media on Monday, after launching the procession organised as part of the inauguration of ‘grameena dasara’ in the temple town, the minister said the Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda has officially invited his Gujarat counterpart for the festival. But, the Gujarat government is yet to confirm his participation.

‘My political guru’
When asked about he (minister) meeting Modi on the first day of his ‘Sadbhavana Vrat’, the minister said ‘Modi was his political guru and had gone to wish the latter on his birthday’.
The minister denied that merely extending an invitation to Modi, accused of Gujarat riots, will bring any disrepute. The Supreme Court has already ruled in his favour in a case, he added.
