Muniyappa's contribution to Kolar big zero: MLC

MLC D S Veeraiah on Sunday termed MP K H Muniyappa’s contribution to Kolar a big zero.

While campaigning for the BJP candidate Omshakthi Chalapathi, he said: “Muniyappa served as an MP for seven times, but he has failed to develop the district. He claims to have brought funds, but Kolar resembles a village.”

“Today, the district is how it was 30 years ago. The problems of road, drainage and water still need solutions. Muniyappa developed, but not the constituency,” he charged. The MP favoured family politics and hence had distributed tickets to his family members. His daughter failed to make it to the ZP and he had fielded her from the KGF. She would surely lose the deposit, he said.

While serving as a minister of state for Railways, he failed to create jobs. The Congress leaders shed crocodile tears for Dalits. Voters should not be carried away by false promises, he said.

The MLC said that Siddaramaiah would be defeated in Chamundeshwari and Badami seats. He has invited film stars for campaigning as he is desperate about his victory” he said.

“There are corrupt leaders and elderly candidates. The voters should defeat such candidates and support the BJP,” he said.
