Mysore man, son among killed

Krishna (38) and his son Harish of Sonahalli in H D Kote taluk, and Suresh (18) of Chikkamagali in Periyapatna, are the dead.Krishna and his family had migrated to Bangalore several years ago. On January 8, they returned to their village and Krishna and his son, accompanied by a group of pilgrims, left for Sabarimala. While others in the group went their way following a commotion, Krishna and Harish fell victims to the mishap.

Suresh was the eldest son of Somanna and Bhyramma of Chikkamagali. A school dropout, he was assisting his father, a daily wage worker. It was only at the last minute that he and his friends had decided to go for ‘Makaravilakku darshan’, and stayed back at Pulmedu where the mishap occurred.
