A 38-year-old man was electrocuted while he was making preparations to welcome Social Welfare Minister Priyank Kharge in Kalaburagi City on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Rafeeq.
The incident occurred on Humnabad Road when he was trying to a fix the banner.
The incident triggered flash protest against the incident by the victim's relatives and friends.
The police rushed to the spot and controlled the situation.
