JOIN USMedical Education Minister D K Shivakumar, who is under the I-T scanner, on Thursday huddled with his lawyers at his Sadashivanagar residence, apparently making preparations to file an anticipatory bail.
Shivakumar is said to have received a notice from the Economic Offences court. Later, speaking to reporters, Shivakumar, however, said that he had not received any such notice. He also said that he was clueless about the money recovered from his aide Anjaneya Hanumanthaiah’s house. “I am shocked to see media speculations over this issue. I respect the law. I have not taken or given money to anyone,” he said.
On his houses in New Delhi, he said, “I have two houses in New Delhi. A house warming ceremony of another house is on the cards. I use those houses during visits to New Delhi. There have been no hawala transactions over these houses,” he added.
