Siddaganga seer discharged from hospital: reports

Siddaganga seer Shivakumara Swami arrived to a rousing welcome on the Mutt premises here on Wednesday, following a surgery at the Dr Rela Institute and Medical Centre in Chennai.

However, the seer will not be available for darshan for one month as he has been advised complete rest by doctors.

He was discharged at about 11 am and was shifted in an air ambulance to the HAL airport in Bengaluru. He was then taken to the Mutt in Tumakuru by ambulance in ‘zero-traffic’. The pontiff reached the Mutt by 3.30 pm.

The Swami was greeted by thousands of inmates of the Mutt’s student hostel. However, only a handful of devotees came to the Mutt.Deputy Commissioner Dr K Rakesh Kumar, Superintendent of Police Dr Divya Gopinath and ZP CEO Annies Kanmani Joy were present at the Mutt to welcome the seer.

“The Swami will be housed in his own room in the old mutt. His room has been converted into a special ward by the Siddaganga Hospital doctors junior seer Siddalinga Swami said.
