The State government will allow pooling of samples for Covid-19 testing in districts with less than 5% weekly positivity rate.
A circular to this effect was issued late night on Thursday. In pooled sampling, five samples are pooled and tested in one go. Each sample will be individually tested again if the sample pool tests positive.
The total number of RTPCR test targets given to each district, however, will remain unchanged.
