Wall clocks seized in Bellary

 The Patel Nagar police on Monday evening seized two mini lorries transporting wall clocks bearing the symbol of the BSR Congress, the fan, and a picture of party founder B Sriramulu. 

The clocks, manufactured in Gujarat, were brought in the lorries bearing Andhra Pradesh registration numbers. They were reportedly meant to be distributed to voters, ahead of the civic polls. The consignment of one of the lorries was unloaded at an unkown location, while 3,200 clocks in the other have been seized.

Deputy Commissioner A A Biswas said the clocks were brought to the city a month ago. Probe is on to find out where one set of the clocks has been kept. The drivers and cleaners of the lorries have been taken into custody.
