Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Saturday said that he would invite Opposition leader B S Yeddyurappa during his next meeting with officials of nationalised banks.

Speaking to reporters at the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha after the conclusion of the winter session, Kumaraswamy said that the government would engage the BJP leader too during the discussions over crop loan waiver. Kumaraswamy however attacked the BJP for disrupting the proceedings during the last leg of the session.

"The BJP wasted one-and-a-half days of the proceedings. Several persons have wasted the session for their selfish gains. I will not take their names," he said.

Reacting to Yeddyurappa's "Bruhaspathi" (know it all) remark, Kumaraswamy said that he had never claimed to be an expert. "I'm not even as intelligent as him. As Yeddyurappa is knowledgeable, I had asked his advise on crop loan waiver. My government's loan waiver scheme is a model scheme. But I never thought of myself as an expert when I was devising the scheme," he added.

Kumaraswamy said that good debates were held in both houses. "The Houses discussed issues pertaining to north Karnataka for 9.5 hours. The government has given a comprehensive reply to all queries raised by the legislators," he added.
