<p class="title">Fire and Emergency Services personnel have launched a search operation to rescue a youth who is reported missing from Tuesday evening. </p>.<p class="title">The rescue team set out in a life raft, on the Kapila River, in Nanjangud here, for search and rescue.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Mussafir Sharrief (28), a timber merchant, is reported missing.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Police said, that Sharrief, along with four friends, jumped off the bridge to take part in a swimming competition among themselves.</p>.<p class="bodytext">While the other four swam ashore safely, Sharrief failed and went missing. </p>.<p class="bodytext">The fire and emergency services personnel along with the police and the locals are searching for Sharrief.</p>
