Police sources said that Deepak alias Pandurang Kamble, who has been arrested in connection with senior advocate Ajith Naik’s murder, has admitted to the murder.
The police had arrested him in Yellapur on Monday. He was produced before the Haliyal court on Wednesday and has been sent in judicial custody till August 8. Earlier, the police conducted the mahazar of the spot where Naik was murdered.
They inspected the spot, weapons used for murder and the suspect’s two-wheeler. DySP Mohan Prasad, CPI Aneesh Mujawar and investigation officers were present.
