Nine out of 29 Naxalites killed in Kanker encounter identified so far: Police
While the identities of two Naxalites were ascertained on Tuesday following the encounter, seven more have been identified till Wednesday evening, Inspector General of Police (Bastar Range) Sundarraj P said.

The route to the encounter site, mostly dirt roads or forest paths, was dug up at multiple locations. Naxalite posters appealing locals to boycott the Lok Sabha elections and crude memorials of slain Maoists could be seen nearby.
