Apple App Store Award 2024: Top apps and games on iPhone, iPad, Macs and Vision Pro announced

Last month, Apple revealed 45 finalists of App Store 2024 awards in various categories such as games, apps, cultural impacts on iPhone, iPad, Vision Pro and Mac devices.

Now, the company has announced the winners of Apple App Store 2024 edition.

The remarkable achievements of this year’s winners demonstrate the incredible ingenuity that can be unlocked through apps,” said,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.

In the gaming category for iPhone, AFK Journey, an action-packed, tactical adventure and rich storylines was awarded the top honour.

The Squad Busters, which combines competition with feel-good fun through exciting multiplayer gameplay was adjudged the best game in the iPad category. Thank Goodness You’re Here! offers nonstop laughter with fun and silly skits and was awared the best game on Mac devices. And Balatro+, which reinvents the rules of card games with every new hand was ranked the top gaming app on Apple Arcade platform.

The first generation Apple Vision Pro hit stores earlier this year in select market. Developers have launched more than 500 new apps and games for the new spatial computing platform to deliver augmented reality experiences. Apple has picked What If…? An Immersive Story-telling game, as top Vision Pro app of the year. The game introduces users to colourful Marvel Comics universe.
