Apple shows off Mac PC capabilities with 'Severance' BTS video

Geoffrey Richman, one of three editors of Apple TV series Severance said that the the final episode of the Severence was one of the toughest to edit, but Apple Mac devices came in handy to review them smoothly.

All the new generation Mac devices come with Apple M series silicon. They are the most powerful personal computers in the industry in terms of running complex software code testing, video editing and deliver the longest battery life.

Now, the company has showcased how Apple Macs are helping film editors of Apple TV's most popular TV series, Severance.

Besides highlighting the raw power of the Mac devices, the Behind-The-Scenes (BTS) video offers some spoilers ahead of the season 2 finale of the Severence TV series.

Geoffrey Richman, one of three editors of TV series said that the the final episode of the Severence was one of the toughest to edit.

In one scene, he had to choose the best among 70 angles. Richman had 83TB of footage to comb through,h and he reportedly used a single multicam clip to play nine angles (3x3 array) simultaneously on the screen to choose the most ideal shots.

At work, he used to edit content on an iMac and when working remotely from home, he used Mac mini. And while moving between places, he used MacBook Pro laptop.

“I can work on my laptop and I can work on my iMac, and I can work at the post facility or I can work at Ben’s office, and as long as I’m logged into my account, everything I do shows up everywhere,” said Geoffrey Richman, who loves how seamless data sharing and device collaboration that happens with iCloud and Continuity.

“I could be lying in bed and I have a thought, and I’ll type it into my iPhone, and then the next day, it just shows up in the Notes app on my desktop. That aspect of Mac I find very handy — to not think about which system I’m physically at,” noted Richman.
